Hey guys. This is part three to my overview and it will continue to cover the the biggest games that are in Korea at the moment. These games range from RPGs to FPSs and are the best players can get. I hope that this overview will aid you in making a choice and hopefully if any game developer reads this, he might think of bringing some of these games to the United States and Europe! Anyway, I hope you enjoy this overview.

1.Pooong Online

Pooong Online is an adult MMORPG that was made by Cynic Soft and has recently revealed its latest demo for Season 2 of the game! The game will receive these massive updates on October 18th and these updates are expected to change the game in many ways. In Pooong Online, the world is open to players and the capabilities in the game are endless. In Pooong, players are not held back by quests or monsters like in other games, instead, players are able to roam free and do as they please. Players will receive a house and special items which will help them enjoy the game more. The graphics are anime-styled and the environment is beautifully detailed. Players have many choices in the game which will ensure that they are never bored. Players can fight, chat with friends and even host parties in their house. The most important part of Pooong is that players literally hold their own character in their hands and can do whatever they want,which adds a level of satisfaction to the player. Pooong is a game that most players will venture into when they are bored of the common MMO as Pooong is unique and good.

2.Prius Online

Prius Online is a 3D MMO that has anime-styled graphics that is unique in its own rights. Players begin their journey along with a young girl, who grows with her as they progress through the world, sharing their experiences. This feature is unique the Prius and is the first MMO to think up of this and move away from the regular pet system. Your companions also has a lot of skills to learn which can aid you in combat such as buffs,heals and attacks. The combat in Prius is extremely fast paced and intense. Players will be engrossed in a new type of combat as the game stares away from the regular boring encounters. The skill animations are some of the best in the MMO world and is similar to Cabal, flashy and great. Prius Online is only in Korea at the time though, and there is no Western release date in sight. Prius Online is a very unique, well designed game with a number of fresh things in the MMO world and deserves a try.

3.Psychic Online

Psychic Online is a fast paced third person shooter that is extremely detailed and fun to play. The game uses on the best game engines available and the game is somewhat perfected. Due to this fact, it has top-notch graphics which render a vivid and realistic feel. Players can control eight different characters of different looks and abilities. These characters are unique and the game is very well balanced. Players are allowed to switch to one of these eight characters at any point in time. The game does not require much system requirements and is very well optimized which is a major plus in today’s MMO market. Shooting is very fast paced and combat occurs in both long ranged and short ranged distances. Players also fight using skills, mainly their psychic powers which turn the battle in their favor. Players can also drive vehicles which spices up the battle and makes the game a lot more fun. Psychic Online is a next gen shooter that blows away its players. For now, the game is only in Korea but plans are being made for it to enter the international stage.

4.Punch Monster

Punch Monster is a 3D sidescroller similar to Dragonica and Maplestory that is being published by NCSoft Korea. The game mixes animated 2D graphics with 3D technology to form a blockbuster game. The battles in this game require a lot of skill and strategy which takes the game to a new level. Monsters have unique looks and appearances so players will feel accomplished when they leave each area. There is a storyline which is developed very well via quests and missions. There are hundreds of quests for players to take and leveling is quick and fun. The graphics of the game are much more detailed than Maplestory and it is one reason why the game is said to be better and more liked in Korea. The interface for this game is unique and easy on the eyes. There are hundreds of skills for players to utilize in combat and the game is never boring. Overall, Punch Monster is a great game and players should expect a version for the United States and Europe very soon.

5.Quake Wars Online

Quake Wars is a special addition to the already great game Wolfenstein:Enemy Territory that will make a lot of major changes to the game. It takes place in the year 2065 and pits the allied forces vs a new evil force who put the world into a state of chaos. Players can choose one of five unique character classes and reign supreme. The graphics of this game are good but not on par with the latest games. There are many missions which require teamwork and strategy to complete. The game is all about taking over enemy territory using vehicles, deployables and a mass amount of weapons to kill your enemy. Each choice that a player makes will affect his team in one way or another and lead them to either success or failure and the guns are upgraded and rebuilt especially for this game. There are many guns to choose from and many unique vehicles. The maps are huge and can withstand large scale battles. The Wolfenstein series has already proved itself and with these great expansions coming, the game will just keep getting better and better.

6.Ragnarok Online 2

Ragnarok Online 2 is probably the most anticipated game of the year for F2P MMO gamers as Ragnarok Online is still considered the be the best MMORPG that ever existed. Ragnarok Online 2:Legend of The Second is created by Gravity Corporation and has already undergone major development phases. The first sequel was actually scrapped and development began once again, but with a totally new objective. The game’s closed beta phase is set for 31 August 2010. Many classes have already been revealed and a new system has been introduced called the Dual Life System where players can take up a second job to assist them. Ragnarok Online 2 will use a different engine from the first game and will bring about better game play, a more detailed game and overall a great game that won’t let the MMO’ers down. Ragnarok Online is a very expansive game where a player has a lot of options to choose from and the game never seems to bore its players. 7.Red Blood Online

Red Blood Online is a 3D MMO that is for Korea only and is based off a comic. The game is action packed and a mixture of RPG and RTS as a lot of strategy is required. The game is extremely detailed and the graphics are simply outstanding. The game uses an engine that shows off the graphics. The game play is very good as well, with fast paced and unique combat. There are different nations to choose from and characters of each nation have a different look and different armor types so no one person is unique. The game is similar to Atlantica as it also has the Mercenary concept which means that players can obtain friends to help them in battle as they level up. Red Blood Online is released for South Korea only, unfortunately, no company has announced the game to the Western world just yet. Red Blood Online has a lot of promise and focuses a lot on graphics but does not let down in other departments.

8.Raiderz

Raiderz Online is an MMORPG that was recently announced by Neowiz and is set to enter alpha and beta phases at the end of 2010. Players begin their journey on the planet of Velix and have the daunting task of exploring these lands for enemy creatures and other players. As the game’s name shows, the main objective of the game is consistently raiding and completing dungeons so players can obtain the best gear and then move on to the PVP parts of the game. During an interview, the developers said they had tried to convey the uniqueness and specialty of Gunz onto this game with its large amount of quests. The game play is based on non-targeting and quick reactions are needed. Players must kill monsters called Epic Monsters to obtain gold, experience and items to equip their character with. Groups will be a major part of this game as players must team up to do raids. One special thing about the game is that the game does not have a class system and that players can learn all the skills that the game has to offer. Raiderz shows a lot of potential for a F2P MMO and I am anticipating a good game.

9.RedCard Online

RedCard Online is a sports based game which puts the player in the shoes of a football superstar who must fight his way to the top of the world. The game’s graphics are great and the game play is fun. The community is the best part about this game. The community is helpful, talkative and fun to play with. Players can use special skills to beat their opponent and get the victory over them and there is also a single player mode where players will begin their own journey and try to win a cup or trophy with their team. The online mode is not laggy at all and is pretty good for a game which depends on peer to peer connection. The celebrations are a unique part of this game and after players score, the stunts that they perform will make you laugh. RedCard Online is a game that should be played for fun and is the perfect casual MMO that players are looking for. RedCard Online deserves a try if you are a sports fan.

10.RemayQ

NOPSen Incorporated has developed a browser-based virtual world where people from all countries can play together without having to worry about language barriers. RemayQ is a unique game that has a simultaneous language translation for Korean, Chinese, Japanese and English. With this system, people speaking different languages can communicate without the worries of needing a translator which will slow down game play. The game allows players to customize the character to use in the world. The player’s body, face and clothes are all customizable when first creating a character and can be changed later on once you get the equipment. This gives you a unique look and keeps the game very interesting. Players can also customize their house, both inside and outside. Making friends and doing as you please is what this game is all about. The possibilities are endless as there are so many things you can do, such as hunt with friends, race against players as well as host parties. This game is made for casual play and is one of the top social MMOs out there and you should check it out if your interested in these kind of games.

11.Reverse

Reverse is an Adult MMO that caused a lot of controversy for players in Korea as it mixed kissing and a lot of rated R content with good game play, which caused some trouble among players who wanted one but not the other. The game has a very good PVP system, although it is slow paced and has outdated graphics, the PVP is simply awesome. There are large scales wars at all times of the day but there is a high content of pornography and kissing which also occurs at all times. This is the main downfall of the game as players said that it is sometimes nice, but most times dangerous and keeps most players out of the game. Many players reacted badly to the new type of game saying that it was not really needed as the game was very good without it. Overall, Reverse is a great game for PVP but the strong sexual content may hold gamers back from entering the world of Reverse.

12.SD Gundam Capsule Fighter Online

The Gundam Franchise has now developed a smaller and cuter version of their Gundam Mobile Suits for the blockbuster MMO, SD Gundam Capsule Fighter Online. Fans of the franchise will love and adore this game for its game play as well as player vs player interaction. Players earn money or ‘gacha’ to purchase new mobile suits or upgrade their suits to be better equipped for fast paced and intense combat. There are three modes in this game, the missions mode, PVP mode and training mode. The PVP mode also has three divisions, the normal mode, battleship mode and then the deathmatch mode. Each one is different and unique so players can choose which one they prefer. Controls are easy to get used to since it uses the primitive WASD and the mouse for shooting. This may sound boring, but being in a Gundam suit changes the entire game. To make things more interesting, developers have implemented a system that made the Gundam weapons more like rock, paper and scissors. Some tactics and weapons are better versus certain circumstances and the same strategy cannot be used in all situations. This spices up the game and makes it much more interesting. Overall, Gundam is a unique and enjoyable game and if a player like PVP content, then Gundam is the perfect game for them.

Ending

It is time for me to recommend my two favorite games from this list. This time it would have to be Ragnarok Online 2 and SD Gundam Capsule Fighter Online. Ragnarok Online has already proven that the game developers know how to produce a successful and awesome MMO and Ragnarok Online 2 will not let down. SD Gundam Capsule Fighter Online is another great and unique MMO which most players love because it holds so much PVP content. So these are my two favorite games,i hope you enjoyed this overview.
