This is part five to my consistent list of Korean MMO overviews. These games are either sequels or games that are being released in the near future or some that are newly released. Some of these games have been highly anticipated such as Viva Fighter and the sequel to Warriors of 3 Kingdoms.

1.Viva Fighter

Viva Fighter is one of the few unheard of games that is yet to blemish in its full glory. The game is a 2D sidescrolling MMO similar to games such as Dragonica and Maplestory but has a unique art style which makes it look special. The goal of the players in this game is to become the best monster hunter around and this sets players on an eventful journey through the game. The game combines real time elements with RPG elements to make a great mixture and it is extremely fun to play. The system specs required are very low so all players will be able to run this game on their PC. The skill animations are very beautiful and players will be blown away with the smooth and fluid game play. Overall, Viva Fighter still has a lot to prove in this MMO world but is doing a good job so far.

2.War Cry

War Cry is a F2P Korean Based MMOTPS by T3 that is taking Asia by storm. The game is fast paced like most other shooters but does not use guns, it uses magical weapons and attacks. This is where War Cry differs from its competitors. The game is a Third Person Shooter with great First Person Shooter elements mixed in. Players can use an entire list of weapons from swords to axes to magic and to guns. The game’s player base is extremely large and the game is very popular as it is unique to the MMO shooter genre. Not all players can own every gun though. In the beginning of the game, players will choose a character of their choice who will wield the ability to use certain weapons rather than being able to have all. This balances the game out more and makes it more fun. War Cry is probably the most unique shooter in the MMO world right now and players should try it immediately.

3.Warriors of 3 Kingdoms II

WeMade Entertainment has obtained huge popularity over the past few months after releasing some excellent games and they will rise up a lot more now as Warriors of 3 Kingdoms II has already been announced and is in development. The game uses an excellent engine with little to no bugs. This sequel to the original has a lot of twists and turns in the storyline and is basically an oriental swordsman MMORPG with some special features added in. The game provides user friendly controls and a simple but good interface. The skills are excellent and PVP in this game is awesome. There are three nations in total and each of them war day and night for control of the world. The game has tons of quests for players to complete and a lot of dungeons as well. Warriors of 3 Kingdoms II is expected to be a great game and you should stick with MMOGAMESITE as we will continue to cover this game until its release.

4.WE Online

WE Online is a F2P fantasy MMO from Korean developers KRGSoft. It is currently in the open beta phase and is said to be a great game. The first major change about WE Online from the other generic MMOs is that WE Online uses weapon proficiency or weapon leveling rather than the regular classes or levels. Players have a wide array of weapons at their disposal and can continuously switch weapons while in combat which makes the game more fun. Once weapons obtain 25 points, it can be carried to the appropriate NPC and leveled up so it can become stronger. WE Online has anime styled graphics and a great mount system. Players obtain mounts at early levels and getting them is very fun and rewarding. WE Online is currently in the open beta phase which means everyone is allowed to play so if your looking for an anime styled game, go play WE Online.

5.Wild Planet

Actoz Soft recently revealed its latest MMO called Wild Planet Online. The game shows off a massive battlefield system, character level up system and other features which set it apart from its competitors. The game is set in the year 2004 A.D and Earth is hammered by asteroids from outer space. Now, only two colonies survive and are in war. They are fighting for survival as well as the ability to rebuild their worlds. Wild Planet is described as a Sci-Fi, non targeting MMO that is currently in Korea. Players can choose from either swords or guns to use in combat and there is also PVE modes such as boss fights and quests to complete. PVP is the bigger picture in the game though and the massive battles provide hours of fun. Wild Planet is a unique MMO and it deserves a try.

6.Zzanggu Online

Zzanggu is a revolutionary 2D sidescrolling MMO loosely based off of an infamous cartoon character. The game will attract both young and old people as it mixes comedy with fierce combat. The storyline is totally comedic and players will get a lot of laughs off of the game. The game breathes new life into the Korean MMO industry with its fantastic animations and smooth game play. The game is similar to Maplestory in some ways though but the nice graphics style makes it differ from it. Zzanggu Online is a great game and if your looking for a new sidescroller to get into, Zzanggu might be the one.

7.Make a Friend Online

Make a Friend Online is said to be one of the top social MMOs in Korea as it allows people to communicate with each other and live in peace. Players will begin their journey in a rural island and call it home. There is a lot of things to do in this game such as fish, farm and forage. Upon beginning your journey, players are given a pet called Bel to accompany them in their adventure through the game. For a social game, the graphics style in Make a Friend is great and is very detailed. Players will also obtain items and money which are used to gear up their characters to make them looks unique. The community in the game is very friendly and fun and players can even start a family so that they can play together on a daily basis. If your looking to join a social game where making friends is the main point, then join Make a Friend Online today.

8.Metal Black

NCSoft Korea is set to release yet another blockbuster MMO known as Metal Black which is said to be a combination of Starcraft and Diablo. The game is a great FPS with RTS,RPG and obviously FPS elements all mixed in to make a great game. As a player enters the game, he will hear the reverberating sounds of the game and be blown away. The game’s sounds are amazing and make you feel as if your in a gun battle. The game has some cool graphics and the game has a nice engine being used so it means that there will be little to no bugs. There are a lot of skills in this game for players to use while in combat and multiple weapons to choose from. The equipment in this game looks beautiful and there are many additional items that turn the fight in your favor. There is also a boss killing system so the game does have PVE elements. The game also requires teamwork so there is no ‘one man army’ that will win the entire game for his team. Metal Black is going to be a great FPS and players should try it out for sure.

9.Metal Slug Online Zero

Which real gamer will ever forget the incredible Metal Slug series? None. Finally, Metal Slug will be turned into an MMO and is currently in development by three companies in South Korea. This is great news for gamers world wide as Metal Slug is loved by everyone. There are no set dates for release as there was a halt in development for a short period of time. The game has gone back on track and development is smooth and steady. Metal Slug Online Zero will provide players with hours upon hours of sidescrolling fun. There will be hundreds of guns for players to use and even vehicles. There are multiple PVP and PVE modes but the PVE is where the game shines. There will be hundreds of single player, multi player and co-op missions for players to indulge themselves in. Metal Slug has already proven enough and this game is just another step in the right direction. Stick with us as we cover the game to its release.

10.Monster Hunter Frontier Online

Monster Hunter is a very popular game that is taking online console gaming to the next level and Hangame as recently announced that they are starting work on an MMO called Monster Hunter Frontier Online. The game will have a lot of new features compared to the Wii and Xbox 360 version including new guild features, hunter rank increase, continuous and faster patches, a special home system and a whole lot of new monsters. The game has recently entered the development phase so not much information has been released unfortunately. Stick with MMOGAMESITE though as we will give you the latest news faster than any other website.

11.Noir Online

Noir Online is a mature rated game that is for 18+ gamers only. It is a game based on gang warfare and is developed by Digitalic Online. The game revolves around murder, crime, violence and drugs. It takes place in Shanghai during the 1930s and the game simply has an eery feel to it. The game’s graphics really give off the sense of what the game is all about and the sounds during the fights are amazing. There are many skills players can use in combat and the game brings Mafia into MMOs. There will be a real life stock market where players will launder there money and a well balanced community. The combat in this game is smooth and fluid and the skill animations compliment the great game. Noir Online takes on a new concept in MMO gaming and you should try it out.

12.Prius Online

Prius Online is a great F2P MMORPG brought to us by Gpotato. It is said to be an emotional game and players have a special companion that goes along with them on their journey. The game’s graphics are simply high quality and there is a lot of PVP ranging from duels to battlegrounds. There are seven classes to choose from, all with its pros and cons. The game offers fast paces combat with nice skill animations and a sleek and beautiful interface. There is no release date for US or Europe yet but the game is receiving great reviews in Asia so it will be a long awaited game. Prius and Aika are very similar games and both have flourished in the market today. Check out both Prius and Aika for two fantastic F2P MMOs.

Conclusion

Hey guys. As usual, I will give my top two games from each list and this week, I choose Prius Online and Metal Slug Online. Prius Online is a very great game and judging from screenshots, videos and some personal game play time, I must say the game is above the average MMOs. Metal Slug Online is going to be a great game if the developers know what they are doing and will blow us away as most true gamers love the Metal Slug series.
